Prerana Langa

Prerana is CEO at Aga Khan Agency for Habitat India (AKAH). At AKAH, the goal is that people live in safe, sustainable, and resilient habitats with the opportunity to thrive, whether in a remote mountain village, a town, or a densely populated urban centre.

Prerana was previously Head of Roundglass Foundation, working to accelerate wellbeing for the state of Punjab. She was the key member to set up YES FOUNDATION (social development arm of YES BANK) and part of the founding team to set ICICI FOUNDATION for Inclusive Growth (social development of ICICI BANK). She was also part of the team to launch Dvara (IFMR Trust). She led the Corporate Social Responsibility for ICICI Group of Companies.

She is passionate about building ecosystems for social impact. She has professional experience of over two decades, working on a range of innovative and scalable programs across education, health, financial inclusion, environment, youth leadership, fellowships, community partnerships, capacity building of civil society and poverty alleviation. She has developed innovative and world record-breaking media for social change programs with a focus on nurturing youth to emerge as change makers and strengthening Non-Profits/Enterprises to maximise social impact.

She is a spokesperson for social development across national and international platforms, educational forums and mainstream media. She is passionate about social issues, volunteers with Non-Profits and mentors young leaders.

Prerana holds a Masters degree in Business Management and a Diploma in CSR and Sustainability from the Swedish Institute. She completed the World Bank & Harvard University South Asia Institute Executive Development Program in Corporate Social Responsibility.
